Jan. 9, 2018: 5 Dead From Flu in CT

Five people have died from the flu in Connecticut this season and now, doctors are reminding people to take precautions to prevent themselves from getting sick. Influenza activity “has rapidly increased” over the past two weeks and been reported in all eight counties, according to officials from the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Five people than 65 years of age have died since the start of the flu season. Local doctors with American Family Care pointed out five habits that could increase your chances of getting the flu at the start of the new year. July 11, 2014: Doctors Express Urgent Care Opens office in West Hartford

WEST HARTFORD – Doctors Express Urgent Care recently opened its second Connecticut location in town. Owners Tom Kelly, Ron Krippner and Dr. Thomas Brown hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony on June 19 at their West Hartford location, according to a release from Doctors Express. Afterward, Mayor Scott Slifka, members of the West Hartford Town Council and Chamber of Commerce, and over 150 health care professionals and business leaders enjoyed a reception provided by Café Louise. Read More
